Sheffield Film Co-op
That's no Lady
1977
Made for the National Women’s Aid Federation, this film depicts scenes that highlight the links between a casually misogynist culture and the lived experience of domestic abuse. It depicts the isolation felt by women in this situation and the problems of trying to cope. Though the law has changed since this film was made it still raises important questions about socially accepted attitudes to women in our society.
